The complex for the commissioning of 110 kV substations has been completed as part of the NovaVind JSC and ROSSETI North Caucasus PJSC project for the construction of the Berestovskaya 60 MW wind farm in the Stavropol Territory.
VetroOGK-2, which is part of NovaVind JSC of Rosatom's wind energy division, together with ROSSETI North Caucasus, is implementing a large-scale project to build the Berestovskaya wind power plant in the Stavropol Territory. To date, three wind farms have been commissioned in Stavropol: Kochubeevskaya, Karmalinovskaya and Bondarevskaya with a total capacity of 390 MW, followed by Berestovskaya WPP, which is scheduled to be launched by the end of 2022. The installed capacity of the wind farm is 60 MW, due to the 24 wind turbines installed on the site with a capacity of 2.5 MW each. The planned average annual power generation of the WPP will amount to 175.5 million kWh, which will contribute to an increase in the share of "green" electricity in the total energy balance of the Stavropol Territory by 17%.
The projects of new wind farms will make a great contribution to the development of the wind power industry not only in the Stavropol Territory, but also in Russia as a whole, which will increase the reliability of energy supply and create about 100 new jobs.
The Electronmash company performed the function of the General Contractor for the construction of the 110kV Berestovskaya substation and carried out the entire complex of works on the construction site: development of design documentation, production and supply of electrical equipment, electrical installation, maintenance and repair of the entire complex of equipment, preparation of executive documentation and commissioning of the facility, as well as a complex of works on the organization of the construction site, landscaping and geotextiles throughout the PS.
At the 110kV Berestovskaya substation, a 110 kV ORU with gas-free switches and disconnectors installed on high-availability units, as well as portals, busbars and lightning rods, was used as high-voltage (HF) equipment. On the low voltage (LH) side, a 35 kV control panel was manufactured and supplied based on 35 kV ELTIMA+ control panel cells, combined with an OPU. The 35kV "Eltima+" CRU cells are designed for a rated current of 1250 A and, for ease of operation, are designed with the possibility of two-way maintenance, and are also equipped with a motorized KVE and ZN drive for remote control.
The equipment of the secondary systems of the leading Russian manufacturers is used in the OPU PS – cabinets of RPA and PA, CA, automated process control system, AIS KUE and Communications. To increase the level of reliability of power supply to responsible consumers and the functioning of power supply systems at substations, the OPU also installed the ExOnSys constant operating current SOPT system, equipped with an automated monitoring and technical diagnostics system (SMU SOPT, SHOT) with an advanced analytical system of its own design and a unique set of analytical functions that allow predicting and detecting pre-emergency operating modes and developing defects, as well as to carry out piecemeal monitoring of the AB voltage, feeder and section-by-section insulation control. The substation's own-use shield, manufactured on the basis of the NKU Assol design, is also equipped with an advanced monitoring and control system (SMU NKU) with the ability to collect and transmit data to a higher-level control system via digital interfaces using the IEC 61850 protocol.
All the premises of the OPU were equipped with the necessary engineering communications for comfortable, safe work and staff stay: heating, lighting, ventilation and air conditioning, fire extinguishing system and communication system.
The high reliability of the electrical equipment used as part of the PS, at the OPU, ZRU and OPU, developed taking into account the specifics of operation at Russian power facilities, is confirmed by test reports in independent test centers and certification for compliance with the technical requirements of PJSC ROSSETI.
The planning solutions of the 110kV Berestovskaya substation and the very organization of modular components made it possible to organize a safe, ergonomic production environment for the equipment and operating personnel for the Customer.
The design of the modular components of the substation ensures the safe connection of cable, overhead lines and control room connections with TDN-63000/110 power transformers, and the use of optimal architectural, hardware and layout solutions made it possible to compactly place the main and backup reservoirs of fire-fighting water on the territory of the substation in order to ensure fire safety, as well as reduce capital costs for the construction of substation (CAPEX) in particular, due to the fact that most of the work was moved to the manufacturer's site, and at the facility – only installation, comprehensive commissioning and commissioning were carried out.
JSC "Electronmash" expresses its gratitude to JSC "VetroOGK-2" for the trust and appreciation of the work of our company, which once again proved the appropriate level of competence and confirmed the status of a reliable partner in the implementation of the project for the construction of 110 kV substation for Berestovskaya WPP 60 MW as a General Contractor. The project was implemented in full compliance with the project documentation, the schedule of work and the approved budget due to the highly qualified engineering staff, a constantly progressive project management system based on many years of experience and modern practices, as well as partnerships with key suppliers of substation electrical equipment and components built over the years.
