Gazprom Neft is a vertically integrated oil company whose main activities are the exploration and development of oil and gas fields, oil refining, as well as the production and marketing of petroleum products. The company is the leader of the Russian oil industry in terms of efficiency.

The Moscow Refinery Digital Substation landfill is the second joint project of Gazprom Neft PJSC and Electronmash JSC aimed at introducing Digital Substation technology at Gazprom Neft facilities.

In 2018, Electronmash developed, manufactured and installed the Omsk Refinery Digital Substation landfill at the 35 kV GPP-6H substation.
The landfill for the Moscow Refinery, manufactured in 2019, implements digital protection of the T1 220/6/6 kV transformer of the GPP-2 "Cracking" substation using digital protections from Siemens, ABB, CEAZ, redundant USO IC Energoservice, digital metering on the 220 kV side of the equipment     Prosoft Systems and IC Energoservice, includes two types of digital recorders from Siemens and Prosoft Systems, as well as an Electronmash monitoring system.

During the factory tests, accurate time synchronization over PTPv2 was successfully launched, synchronized streams of changes across the three arms of the remote sensing system were received and processed at terminals from various manufacturers, the functions of digital accounting and registration of emergency events were checked, and comprehensive testing of digital protections was carried out.

The test results helped to identify significant points that will be taken into account in the design and implementation of digital substations in the future.
Improvements and improvements to the Landfill systems are planned as part of the commissioning work at the Moscow Refinery in November this year.
