JSC "Electronmash" at the International Renewable Energy Forum "ARWE 2019"

The business program of the event was attended by representatives of government authorities, relevant ministries, manufacturing companies and independent experts. The issues of financing mechanisms for renewable energy projects and electricity storage systems, future steps to localize renewable energy equipment from leading global vendors, taking into account the available capabilities of domestic enterprises and technologies, as well as the role of renewable electricity in the energy supply of isolated territories were discussed.

A.V. Litvinenko, Executive Director of JSC Electronmash, made presentations at the panel discussion on electricity storage systems and the session on equipment localization. Technologies of storage systems available to the market, the cost of stored energy and trends towards its decline, mechanisms for the return on investment in the world and in Russia, incentives for the use of storage devices – these and other issues were discussed by experts on energy storage systems. Technically, the benefits of using SNES are clear and obvious, but the use cases need to be standardized taking into account the existing mechanisms of the functioning of the energy system and the relations between market participants, said Alexander Litvinenko in his report.

The localization session discussed the main stages of the localization process for components for wind and solar power plants in Russia and ensuring optimal interaction between suppliers and key customers in the industry. The main speaker was O.P. Tokarev, Deputy Director of the Department of Machine Tool and Investment Engineering of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. NovaWind JSC, Hevel Group, SIEMENS GAMESA RENEWABLE ENERGY LLC, FUCHS OIL LLC, Shell Oil LLC and other companies also made presentations.

Summing up his participation in the forum, Alexander Litvinenko noted that alternative energy is a global trend and a powerful incentive for economic development. Therefore, it is very important to constantly exchange experiences with leading experts in this field.
