Gazprom is currently implementing a major project in the Kaliningrad Region to build a marine terminal for receiving, storing and regasifying liquefied natural gas. Currently, the region receives natural gas through the Minsk—Vilnius—Kaunas—Kaliningrad transit pipeline. Taking into account the peculiarities of the geographical location, the delivery of natural gas by sea in liquefied form will significantly increase the energy security of the Kaliningrad region. The terminal will provide gas supply to consumers in the amount of up to 2.7 billion m3 per year.
The manufactured BKTP is designed to power the technological loads of the marine terminal and is equipped with two dry transformers with a capacity of 630 kVA each. All the substation's power equipment and secondary systems are factory-installed and compactly housed in a modular building with dimensions of 6x9m. The reception and distribution of electricity on the 0.4 kV side is carried out using the Assol LVS with a rated current of 1000 A, equipped with reactive power compensation units. In emergency modes, critical loads for their own needs receive electricity from the UPS-based power supply panel. The substation is fully prepared for integration into the ASUE system and provides transmission of information about the parameters of the main equipment.
Located in a temperate-cold marine climate zone, the BCTP building conforms to the M1 climatic design and is equipped with an automatic ventilation, air conditioning and heating system: the required microclimate is maintained taking into account information about the current temperature and humidity inside the room. To ensure comprehensive security, an automatic carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system and a burglar alarm system with the function of transmitting alarm messages to the control room are installed.
Substations manufactured by JSC Electronmash for PJSC Gazprom fully comply with all technical requirements of the Customer, which is confirmed by the availability of a valid certificate for BCTP in the Gazpromsert voluntary certification system.
